About the event
As the hibernating animals yawn and stretch, and the migrating birds make their way home, so must we shake-off the parts of us that go dormant in the Winter and put energy into blossoming last year's buds! If that all sounds a bit too poetic for you, think of it this way. ITS WARMING UP, TIME TO GET OUTSIDE! Combat any ill effects Winter may have on you with an invitation to notice signs of Spring! Saunter with us at the beautiful Masonville Cove campus, see Baltimore's first pair of nesting bald eagles, learn about the "comeback kid" environment and the power of individuals and local government to save our planet! We will meet in front of the Visitors Center. Our walk will begin at 10AM sharp so if you're going to arrive late please contact Phil at 443-686-2087 Our saunter will take about an hour, with time on either end to do group introductions and a reflection. On our walk your guides will invite you to pause and explore the "more than human world" in a variety of ways. We blend elements of mindfulness, meditation, 5 senses exploration, art, and play to connect to nature for body, mind and spirit health benefits! We will be walking the trails around Masonville Cove, which includes unpaved, and uneven terrain. Please be sure you are physically able to participate and are wearing athletic shoes, dressed appropriately for the weather, have applied sunscreen and bug spray as preferred, and have a water bottle. Nature Worx is a 501(c)-3 Non Profit Organization who largely relies on donations and grants to fund our free programming. We believe nature should be accessible to everyone, regardless of economic status. If you feel compelled, please visit our website www.natureworx.org to make a donation! Thank you! *We will go out, rain or shine! The only elements that will make us cancel a session are lightening, extreme winds, extreme heat or cold. Rain date: Saturday, April 9th 10-11:30 AM. You'll be notified in this group and by email no later than 7AM the morning of the walk*
