About the event
Come out to the amazing 88 acre Farring-Baybrook park and explore a forest within a city! Join us and go outside to go inside! Take a saunter with expert Nature Worx guides, who will invite you to use all 5 senses to explore the natural world and connect deeply to the present moment. On our walk your guides will invite you to pause and explore the "more than human world" in a variety of ways. We blend elements of mindfulness, meditation, 5 senses exploration, art, and play to connect to nature for body, mind and spirit health benefits!
*This saunter is funded by a grant from the Chesapeake Bay Trust and in partnership with our friends at the Greater Baybrook Alliance https://www.greaterbaybrookalliance.org/ Our goal is to increase access and visitation to Farring-Baybrook Park Please help us spread the word about this opportunity!*
We will meet at the William J. Myers Pavillion on West Bay Avenue. Our walk will begin at 3PM sharp so if you're going to arrive late please contact Phil by texting[masked].
After our program, from 4:00-6:00PM please join in the fun at Greater Baybrook Alliance's Annual Event!
Our saunter will take about an hour, with time on either end to do group introductions and a reflection. On our walk your guides will invite you to pause and explore the "more than human world" in a variety of ways. We blend elements of mindfulness, meditation, 5 senses exploration, art, and play to connect to nature for body, mind and spirit health benefits!
We will be walking a hilly, woodland trail through Farring-Baybrook Park, which is not paved, and may have uneven terrain. Please be sure you are physically able to participate and are wearing athletic shoes, dressed appropriately for the weather, have applied sunscreen and bug spray as preferred, and have a water bottle.
Nature Worx is a 501(c)-3 Non Profit Organization who largely relies on donations and grants to fund our free programming.
